Betfair Casino Review

Today I am going to chat about the Betfair’s online casino. Betfair are amongst the top 5 most popular gambling websites and have millions of customers.

This review would be best served with a history lesson to begin with. While Betfair now have one of the best casinos it hasn’t always been this way. Betfair always had the right tools to be one of the best but only recently have they met their true potential.

Most online casinos offer both a flash version of their games and a download version. A download version means that you download software from the casino and then the software connects to a server whenever you want to play, flash games are games that are played directly on the casino website with no download required.

It’s widely regarded that software downloads are much better because they speed of play and graphics are much better. For several years Betfair only offered flash games.

This wasn’t a good thing because I remember that it was very slow and frustrating to play. Their games still stood out as being good despite the graphics issues because of the odds. Several of the games had fair odds and payouts meaning no house edge.

This obviously appeals to a lot of players so they acquired a lot of customers. The problem was that the games were pretty awful to play. The people making decisions at Betfair are smart, they realized a well known software provider was needed and they are now using Playtech software.

Playtech are widely regarded as one of the best software providers because there games are enjoyable to play. The best thing about Betfair using Playtech is that they still offer their zero house edge games, only now it’s in the Playtech software.

What makes Betfair Casino stand out as one of the best Playtech casinos is the fact that they’re the only one that have fair odds games. It would have been cheaper and easier for Betfair to just use the standard Playtech software when they started using it but they went the extra mile to incorporate their far games into it and this is credit to them.
